Morning Hello

Their life, in their own words

After the morning check-in, we send one question about their life. They answer by text, or tap the link to type or record it. Every answer is kept as they sent it, and grows their tree of life for everyone in their circle.

14 days free. No card to start.

Hear their voice

When they record an answer, we keep the recording with the words, and anyone in their circle can play it.

What was your childhood home like?

It was a small house, two bedrooms and one bathroom, and there were six of us. My two sisters and I shared a room with bunk beds and a cot. We had a big front porch, and in the summer that's where everybody was after dinner. My dad put a swing out there, and my mom would sit on it and shell peas while we played in the yard.

The next question follows their answer

Our questions are written ahead of time, more than 700 of them, and their answers decide which one comes next. If they mention a job, we ask more about it, and if something doesn't apply to them, we skip it. If they'd rather not answer a question, we don't ask it again.

How many siblings do you have, and where do you fall?

There are four of us. I'm the oldest, then two sisters and a brother, all about two years apart. Being the oldest I did a lot of the babysitting, especially after my mom went back to work.

The next day: What was your role in the family between you and your siblings?

How it works

  1. We send a question

It arrives a minute or two after they answer the morning check-in.

  2. They answer

The link opens a simple page where they can type their answer or record it. They can also just text it back.

  3. We save it

Every answer is saved exactly as they sent it. A recording is kept too, so their circle can listen.

Eight parts of a life

Our questions cover eight topics. They follow the order of a life, starting with childhood, with lighter ones mixed in.

Their tree of life

Every answer they send becomes a leaf, on one of eight branches for the parts of their life: growing up, work, love, family and friends, and more. As the answers add up, so does the tree, for everyone in their circle to see.

The weekly email

Once a week, everyone in their circle gets an email with the week's answers, exactly as they sent them, and a link to listen to any they recorded. It goes out Sunday evening unless you pick another day. You can also read past weeks when you sign in.

From a weekly email

What was your favorite music?

Country mostly. George Strait and Reba McEntire. I still listen to them in the car.

Linda, Tuesday

For everyone in their circle

  • Get the weekly email

Everyone in the circle gets the weekly email, not just the main contact.

  • Ask your own question

Anyone in the circle who has signed in can add a question, like how Mom and Dad met. We'll ask it and show it as yours when they answer.

  • Read past weeks

Every past week is saved and available when you sign in.

  • Open the tree of life

Anyone in the circle who has signed in can open their tree and read or listen to every answer.

How their answers are kept

  • Saved as sent

Once an answer is sent, we never edit or summarize it.

  • Private

Only their circle can read their answers. We never sell them or share them for anyone else's marketing.

  • If you cancel

The texts and the weekly email stop. Their answers and recordings stay saved, and you can still sign in to read them.
