Someone answers. Seven days a week, 8am to 8pm Eastern.
Compared with the alternatives
These are the things families usually weigh against each other. Each is better than us at something, so here it is plainly.
| If something's wrong | Something to keep | What it asks of them | What it costs | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Morning Coffee | Their circle is told within three hours of a missed morning, in plain words, and decides what to do | A year of their own words, kept under the parts of their life | One text a day, on any phone | One monthly price, nothing per person |
| A medical pendant | Help within minutes, if they press it and are able to | Nothing | Wearing it, charging it, pressing it | A monthly fee and usually a device |
| A check-in-only service | A call or a text when there is no reply, much as we do | Nothing | One reply a day | A monthly fee, often per contact |
| A weekly phone call | Nothing, for six days out of seven | What you remember of it | A conversation neither of you may want at that hour | Free, and the most valuable of the four |
Questions about paying
How does the free trial work?
Fourteen days from the morning after setup, with no card to start. On the last day you decide. If you continue, you add a card then; if not, the messages simply stop.
When am I charged?
Add a card during the fourteen days and the first charge comes the day the trial ends, then on the same date each month. Add it after the trial has ended and the charge comes at once, then monthly from that day.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the account page or by phone. The messages run to the end of the month you have paid for, then stop. Nothing already written is erased; the archive stays yours.
Who pays?
The person who set up the account, usually a son or daughter. Nobody in the circle is charged, and the person answering never sees a bill.
What happens if a card fails?
We email you and try again. If it cannot be resolved, the messages pause until it is; nobody in the circle is told and the person answering is never told anything about payment.
Is there anything else to buy?
No. A printed book of the year's answers is planned and will be its own decision, later. Nothing is sold inside the messages.
Fourteen days, then decide
The first message goes out the morning after setup. No card until you choose to continue.
