Whose words these are, what is kept, who can see it, and what happens when an account closes. The Privacy Policy is the full version; this is the short one.

Their words are theirs
Every reply and every answer the person writes is kept exactly as they wrote it. Nobody edits it, nothing summarizes it, and nothing reads between the lines. It is shown to the people in their circle and to nobody else.
What is kept
Only what the service needs.
- Names and phone numbers, and the circle's email addresses.
- The time the morning message should arrive, and any conditions the family named so that the questions fit.
- Every message sent and received, and when.
- The answers, kept as the story of their life.
What is never kept
No location, no contacts, no other apps, no sensors. No scores, no patterns, no inference about how the person is doing. Nothing is sold and nothing is shared outside the circle and the companies that carry the messages and the email.
Who can see it
The people in the circle, each of whom confirmed their own phone, and our staff when needed to run the service. The person receiving check-ins can ask at any time who is in their circle, and can stop the messages with one word.
When an account closes
The messages stop that day. Nothing already written is erased, by design: the archive is the family's, and a service that could quietly delete a parent's words would be the wrong kind of service.
